THE TRANSMISSION GALLERY
LIMAVADY

The only significant change since Sam Reid visited in 2011 is that the main UHF antenna appears to have been replaced. A consequence of 700 MHz band clearance.

The two towers at Limavady

The main tower transmitting TV, FM radio and DAB.

The interleaved FM and DAB panels

UHF transmit embossed with the Sira logo. These appear to be fairly new as they were probably replaced for 700 MHz band clearance.

Twin 6 element band II Yagis on Londonderry. Believed to be used for ILR RBL.

The original twin troughs on Divis. They may still be used for RBS.

The other tower

Reserve UHF transmit. These panels appear to be more weathered so are probably the originals from DSO, which must have been wideband.

BBC band II receive aerials on Divis (left) and Londonderry (right).
