The replacement tower

A new tower was built at Fort William in 1992 for the re-engineering of the FM radio services to mixed polarisation. Stereo conversion was done during 1993, with Radio's 1 & 4 being added on 3rd December that year.

Just visible on the high ground to the right of the photo is the area's UHF TV relay, Cow Hill
