KINLOCHLEVEN

Photos by John A Butler and David Neale Page last updated: 2021-10-11

September 2002

Kinlochleven - a very low powered relay, apparently taking its feeds from Ballachulish.

The yagis at the top are the transmission antennas while the twin beams midway down provide the RBL (rebroadcast link) feed. If so, this is the first site I've seen where the UHF transmission yagis are actually tilted down towards their target.

The FM transmissions are radiated by the horizontally mounted log-periodic and the vertical dipole, with the second set - mounted with slant polarisation - provide the RBL feed.
