DSO work - pt 1 - A little bit shrouded up here today

Once again the Transmission Gallery brings you evidence that for the broadcasters and their hard-working, courageous contractors DSO means little more than simply buying a new mast-top box and plugging it in. Of course there is also just the small matter of making room for it on the shelf...


Jackie's first photo shows us our first glimpse of the new DTT reserve aerial, which went into service on 23-Apr-2009.




Below onwards: now, it's 20 May 2009. The old main aerial array has been removed from within the GRP shroud and the shroud itself is being removed...






































Below: the pieces of the old shroud stacked neatly and awaiting removal from site...






Below: the spine on which the old aerial was mounted, awaiting removal by helicopter lift...
