DSO work 1 - July 2008 - the old aerial comes down

It's summer 2008 (not that you'd know from the weather in some of the photos) and at Caradon Hill a great deal of work has been going on in preparation for DSO. As well as the new reserve aerial and the usual feeder cable replacement the top of the mast had to be strengthened before the derrick could be erected and the old cylinder lifted off.
