| In addition to the usual vertical polarisation, the Lewes relay also transmits a horizontally polarised signal directed to the south-west. The station was built as a dual polarisation station in order to provide the required coverage while protecting the target service area to the south and west against co-channel interference from Hastings. All antennas are fed from a single set of transmitters, power is split 4:1 in favour of the VP Antenna. The nominal ERPs for the analogue service were 24W (VP) and 12W (HP), for DSO the ERPs are 48W (VP) and 12W (HP), 10 dB higher than the standard conversion. |
