Updated March 2012 - DSO receive change

This Rowridge relay is located in the Parkstone area of Poole in Dorset.

Poole was original a BBC landlord site which entered service with ITV on 17-Dec-1976 to serve 17800 people. BBC 1 & 2 were added in February 1977 with Channel 4 from June 1983. DSO was on 7th and 21st March 2012.

From the launch on 15-Sep-1980 until 13-Apr-1990, the Bournemouth ILR service (2CR), was transmitted from this site. The service was then transferred to Nine Barrow Down. Wave 105 launched on 14-Jun-1998.

BBC DAB entered service on 28th November 2003.

Since the above photos were taken DAB dipoles have now been added at the top of the tower which apparently provide excellent BBC mux coverage to Bournemouth, Poole and Christchurch.

In common with a number of Rowridge relays, a VP RBL log has been added. This makes use of Rowridge VP transmissions following DSO and will help protect this site from CCI which has previously blighted analogue reception.
