Local Stations BBC R Wiltshire, and ILR Spire FM come from separate sites Newton Barrow and Camp Hill respectively, both to the north of the city.

Salisbury was originally a BBC landlord site with BBC 2 entering service on 6th May 1968. BBC 1 was added in January 1972, ITV on 11th August 1972, Channel 4 from July 1983 and Channel 5 during 2000. DTT was added late in 1999. DSO was on the 7th and 21st March 2012.

DAB service dates: Digital One, 21st June 2001, BBC, 26th August 2003.

Close up of the receive antennas. The two troughs are pointing at Rowridge and used to provide the analogue feed for BBC1, BBC2, ITV and Ch4 prior to DSO. Channel 5 was relayed via the four toed-in logs that can be seen above and to the left, pointing at Mendip, as analogue Ch5 was not broadcast from Rowridge.

Close up of the DAB antennas, two arrays of two dipole panels on each face of the tower. On the left is the vertical band II antenna for the national FM radio services.

The year was 1990
