| This is the Newcastle relay, located on the Drinahhilly Mountain, Donard Forest, Newcastle, Co. Down, Northern Ireland. Originally an IBA landlord site, TV channels 1 - 3 entered service on 14th October 1977, with Channel 4 from October 1984. DSO was on 10th and 24th October 2012. ILR (Downtown Radio), was added on 28th October 1998. |
| The spectacular photograph above was taken from Slieve Donard, the highest Mountain in Northern Ireland. You will see the Newcastle tx towards the bottom left hand corner (circled).
