This set of photos from Bill is simply stunning. I think we should be on a commission from the Skye Tourist Board, Bill!

He says: "Uig is very photogenic, standing as it does above the bay and ferry terminal. Climbing up the bank behind the mast was just a bit more exciting than I would have liked!"

But well worth it...

Uig was originally a BBC landlord site which entered service on 16-Nov-1983 to serve 300 people. Channel 4 was added on 9-Aug-1985 at the same time as the parent site, Skriaig.
