The Pearce's Hill site near Exeter can be seen clearly as you drive along the M5 past Exeter towards Plymouth, near junction 31, up on the hill on the right hand side.

These pictures were taken from up on Pearce's Hill itself, where the transmitter building is situated about 75 m from the aerial system. Similar to Plumer Barracks, Pearce's Hill once carried the South-West regional opt-out of BBC Radio Four on 990kHz until BBC Radio Devon came on air around 1982, but the site was originally commissioned to carry the Third Programme.

The site also transmitted BBC Radio 2 from November 1978 on 693kHz until the commissioning of Start Point on 693kHz in 1980, when the Exeter service moved to 909 kHz.
