'Doris' as she was affectionately known, was a typical LPAM (Low Power AM) transmitter used here to broadcast RamAir, the University of Bradford's student radio station on 1350MW. Installed by Radica in March 2000 to replace the traditional Student Halls induction loop system, Doris used to broadcast at a power of 1 Watt to cover the university's campus sites.

RamAir got it's FM name as it was the only student radio station to broadcast on cable TV. Listeners across the region could tune in to 98FM on Yorkshire Cable (Now Telewest). Since Telewest's shift to digital, FM is no longer broadcast on cable, although RamAir does occasionally broadcast RSL's across the city, usually on 102FM.
