Comments: Haverhill is a relay of Madingley

Hide historic services

On entering the town you might be forgiven for thinking this (Waste basket pic) is some sort of new fangled aerial, not so its a sculpture that's been nicknamed the waste bin! The actual relay is on a water tower on the highest point in Haverhill though not a structure noted for its architecture! It once was on very open land but the town has rapidly expanded over the recent years and now its been built around. The relay is an RBR of Madingley near Cambridge on 103 MHz and re transmits by off air pickup via a three element Yagi thence to a vertical dipole on 97.4 MHz. There is another TX using this channel over at Icewell Hill near Newmarket.
