| This site originally appeared on the mb21 Hit List as "Hartlepool (Barbara Mann Court)". Subsequently this has been simplified to just "Hartlepool". Paul commented: "I'm not sure why this transmitter was listed as Barbara Mann Court as Radio Hartlepool's transmitter is located on the roof of the station building, which is located at 79 York Road." Ofcom lists tests transmissions commencing on 16 September and full-time broadcasts commenced on 14 October 14 2008. Does anyone know the reason why a specific yet incorrect name was used? |
| Barbara Mann Court is a development possibly from the 1990s and replacing older houses on part of Alma Street. Jack's photo has been taken from a point in Barbara Mann Court, behind York road and looking towards Elliott Street. The CR station's antenna is just visible above the street light... |
| ...but it's not at Barbara Mann Court and apparently never was! |
| Paul went round the front...the studio is on York Road (near the junction with Elliott Street) and the antenna is located above. |
| Seen from Dent Street (to the rear). The pole is actually attached to the building next door (a betting shop). Once again an end-fed antenna, but on quite a long pole. No studio link necessary, of course. |
