Located at Boggartyhead Farm, just up the road from Dunnottar Castle, south of Stonehaven. Ofcom shows an on-air date of 13 May 2009 although other information suggests the station launched on station launched on 6 June.

It doesn't really get more basic than this. Just a simple folded dipole with not even an RX aerial in evidence.

Mearns FM has further transmitters at Inverbervie and Laurencekirk to cover the agreed service area. The studio is understood to be at Stonehaven Town Hall.
