This Community Radio station launched on 5-Apr-2010 after some last minute negotiations with European administrations.
Although based at a school, this is intended to be a station for the local community and some of the daytime presenters have a long history with local radio in Kent.
The studios are in the building. The award winning architecture has led to somewhat asymetric guying for the pole with the folded dipole. The satellite dish, just visible at the base of the pole, is presumably a feed for news bulletins from Sky.
The school is on relatively high ground, not far from the Broadstairs KMFM (formerly TLR) site and that used by Heart (previously Invicta) which is known simply as Thanet. |
