Westley Heights is a hill to the southwest of Basildon. The site is in the middle of a wooded area, but fortunately good views were available of most of the tower from an open field to the south. Ofcom data quotes a service date of 25th August 2016 for Essex DAB.

Two band III dipoles for DAB transmit.

It is usual for most of these local DAB sites to be fed via an SHF link, but which antenna would that be here!

It is believed that the "S" at the end of the name indicates that this was a former Simoco site.
