Visited February 2010. Located just outside the town centre, this relay of Black Hill doesn't get much use from its immediate neighbours. It seems the signal from the main station is not that good - two yagis in use. Transmit is from two crossed logs plus a single log in another direction.

Oliver Carson has been in touch with additional information. The relay was commissioned when interim DTT started from Black Hill (late 1998) to mitigate a local problem. Some parts of Dunoon are not particularly well served by either Black Hill or Rosneath but were able to receive West Kilbride with high gain aerials and preamps. Unfortunately four of the DTT multiplexes from Black Hill used the same channels as West Kilbride and a new relay was built. It went into service on 10th February 2000, initially running from a generator.

The site has been variously known as "Dunoon Forest Row" and Dunoon Forest Road" in official data, but the later DSO documents revered to "Dunoon"
