Comments: Leicester UHF is a relay of Waltham

Hide historic services

September 2007, updated June 2012

After Rob's first visit he commented: "It took an hour and a half of driving around the Walkers stadium to find this one! Its 4 logs perched on the side of a tower block, next to the hospital. Again, I spent a while walking around (getting wet) trying to find somewhere to get a good photograph, but the tall buildings and trees in the area left me with one very poor photo! Someone who knows the area should really go back and take a decent shot"

That would be you then Rob - thanks for going back!

Rob comments further: "Leicester UHF serves a small section of South Leicester. I'm unsure of it's purpose, but I suspect it's either to with screening or ghosting from the City Hospital buildings. The relay consists of one receive log on Waltham and 2 pairs to transmit"

Three years on and nothing seems to have changed - except Rob's equipment and the weather
