Comments: Folkestone UHF is a relay of Dover

Hide historic services

According to Ofcom data, one of the higher-powered relays of Dover. It's also one of the nearest to its parent. It entered service during 1992.

Located on the roof of the Civic Centre (otherwise known as council offices) which is one of the less attractive buildings in Folkestone.

Four logs for tx, by my reckoning aimed roughly north east, presumably intended to get a signal to the low-lying areas of the town whilst not leaking too much across the channel.

Couldn't see the rx antenna from ground level - possibly hidden by the parapet - it ought to be on the same face of the building.
