Comments: Aislaby is a relay of Bilsdale (via Ravenscar). Pre B700 allocations: 45/39/42.

Hide historic services

Aislaby is located at a Vodafone base station on the edge of the village of Aislaby. Although the relay at Whitby is only a short distance away and is clearly visible, the receive aerials point towards the Ravenscar relay instead.

No-one in Aislaby itself seems to use this station, as none of the houses had aerials pointing towards it. Instead it seems to the serve villages of Sleights, Ugglebarnby and Briggswath down in the valley below.

The original Aislaby structure was a 17m wooden pole and entered service on the 30th July 1982, with
Channel 4 from April 1985. DSO was on the 12th and 26th September 2012.
