Comments: Rosedale Abbey is a relay of Bilsdale

Hide historic services

The site overlooks the village and is line-of-sight to everywhere down there except one of the campsites, which is screened by a small hillock. The proprietor does a good trade renting twenty foot masts with cheap aerials fixed to them. You pay your money and stagger to your pitch with the mast and aerial, which you prop up as best as you can near your van.

Rosedale Abbey entered service on 2-May-1986 to serve 220 people. The Abbey is considerably older.

The original structure was a 14m wooden pole, which has obviously been replaced with this steel monopole.
