Betws-yn-Rhos was originally a BBC landlord site which entered service on 3-Feb-1983 to serve 550 people. Originally the structure was a 17m wooden pole which has been replaced by this tower.

The "view from" photo is of the village of Rhyd-y-Foel, as Betws-yn-Rhos isn't actually visible from the foot of the mast. I was investigated by a pair of friendly Labradors, and the lady whom I asked whether I could take some photos from her drive must have thought I was mad!
