BISHOP'S STORTFORD

Photos by Martin Brown Page last updated: 2017-12-28

New transmit aerials - December 2017

The transmit aerials at Bishop's Stortford were replaced in March 2017 in preparation for 700 MHz band clearance. The UHF channel allocations here will move from 59/55/50 to 29/31/37 on the 21st March 2018. This is the most northerly Crystal Palace relay.

The semi-circular transmit panels have been replaced with these rather flatter design.

The new transmit panel aerials. They face southwest and northwest and are tilted downwards.

The twin Crystal Palace receive Yagis seen in Dan Glover's pictures in July 2015.

Snow on the ground which had fallen the previous day.

Two and a half years on and the Arqiva sign is now looking rather dirty.
