Way out near the very end of the Mull Of Kintyre just south of this isolated town.

Martin Briscoe's two black and white photos show the original Band I/Band II installation, with vertically polarised TV and horizontally polarised radio. David Neale's colour photos were taken in 2004.

July 1968 BBC National FM Radio 88.2/90.4/92.6.
July 1968 405-line BBC 1 on VHF ch5. Closed 5-Oct-1982
1974 FM radio frequencies changed to 88.6/90.8/93.0.
28-Nov-1975 UHF TV channels 1 - 3 on UHF ch's 57/63/60 at 50 W ERP.
March 1978 UHF TV ERP increased to 125 W
April 1984 Channel 4 on UHF ch 53.
1985 FM radio frequencies changed again to 88.4/90.6/92.8
Oct 1986 FM radio re-engineered for mixed polarisation
16-Feb-1993 Radio's 1 & 4 added. 98.0/95.2
