Show historic services

Greystoke was built by the IBA to serve about 450 people in the village and the immediately surrounding area. It entered service on 3-Oct-1986.

The first three photos were taken by Katherine Birkett. Ben Kemp revisited the site in July 2011.

Below onwards: July 2011

Ben writes: The Greystoke relay has acquired a new equipment cabinet and satellite dish for DSO. The four horizontally polarized log periodic receive antennas can be seen half way up the mast pointing northwest towards Caldbeck. The two vertically polarized log periodic transmit antennas can be seen at the top of the mast, also pointing northwest towards the village of Greystoke.
