Comments: Crosthwaite is a relay of Kendal (via Windermere)

Show historic services

The Crosthwaite tower was being painted as these photos were taken so the cabins were covered to protect them from drips.

The relay receives its signal from Windermere, which is in the direction of the distant view. The vertical receiving yagi can be seen. It transmits towards Crosthwaite village and Bowland Bridge and the Winster Valley.

Originally an IBA landlord site, Crosthwaite entered service on 31st October 1984.
