DAB added

DAB aerials have been installed at Newbury for the Berkshire & North Hants local DAB service during April 2016. Photos were taken on 3rd & 4th May 2016.

View of site from the North West

Two tiers of band III dipoles have been added at the top for DAB transmit. Note also the shiny new steelwork that has been changed and the UHF log periodic, on the right, pointing towards Oxford. Purpose unknown.

Another view of new support pole at the top of the tower showing the original Band 2 transmit antennas now on the new pole in their original orientation.

A spectrum analyser plot taken close to the site shows MUX 12D active, the local DAB ensemble.

And finally a view from the site; the Hannington mast can be seen about 12km away on a bearing of 165 degrees.
