THE TRANSMISSION GALLERY

CHEDINGTON

Photos by Jack Richardson Page last updated: 2021-12-21

October 2021

Stopped here on the way to Bridport. There's a layby right by the site, with great views in pretty much all directions.

I am impressed how directional the beam is - it could only be a mile or so travelling towards Rampisham that the signal had all but disappeared, and 97.2 from Bincombe Hill was the dominant signal.

It looks to me the kit has been moved to the tower on the far right of the first photo on the previous page.

[Ed]. A look on Google Streetview shows that there are now only two towers at Chedington.

The transmit aerial. A phased array of two folded dipoles giving a cardioid HRP.
