Cuillin FM changed its name to Radio Skye during 2020. A number of upgrades were made to the stations transmission systems during this time. The Portree site covers just the town of Portree, with a high power main site at Skriaig.

Various unused antennas had been removed from the tower, leaving the single transmission dipole at the top.
