Show historic services

Forden MF broadcasts Radio Wales on 882kHz to the upper Severn Valley. Like Berkeley Heath, this mast is in a damp location - the floodplain of the River Severn, which often floods. I hope they've waterproofed everything! The floodplain also narrows at this point, so the water level during floods gets pretty high. A sloping reflector restricts the ERP roughly east of the mast.

Forden entered service towards the end of 1985.
