Comments: Carried ILR on 990 kHz until closure on 30th April 2020.

Sedgley was built by the IBA for the Wolverhampton and Black Country ILR service which launched on 12th April 1976 on 989 kHz as Beacon Radio. This became 990 kHz with the frequency changes of November 1978.

Towards the end of 1980 the BBC added a transmitter at this site on 828kHz, for the expanding BBC Radio Birmingham, which was renamed BBC Radio WM. This frequency now carries the BBC's Asian Network.
