Comments: Aveton Gifford is a relay of Caradon Hill

Original photo and December 2013

The first photo from David Neale comes from a few years ago. Martin Watkins returned to the site in December 2013; apart from the removal of the two-element VHF Yagi near the top along with a wand type aerial, and the installation of the usual post-DSO telemtry dish, nothing much has changed.

In analogue days the widely spaced channel allocations for this relay meant that Group E or Wideband receiving aerials were required.

Aveton Gifford entered service in October 1985. DSO was on the 12th August and 9th September 2009.
