Comments: Transmitted Absolute Radio on 1197 kHz until mid May 2018, and BBC Local Radio on 1026 kHz until early May 2021.

Cambridge (Chesterton Fen) was originally a BBC landlord site which entered service on 23rd November 1978 with Radio 3 on 1197 kHz. Radio Cambridgeshire launched on 1st May 1982 on 1026 kHz. Radio 3 closed on 28th February 1992. INR2 (Virgin Radio) launched on 30th April 1993, re-using 1197 kHz at this site.
















On the left of the transmitter building is a satellite dish providing the programme feed for INR2 (Absolute Radio) and a band II Yagi pointing towards Madingley for Radio Cambridgeshire RBS.
