Duxhurst was originally an IBA landlord site. ILR Reigate and Crawley (Radio Mercury) launched on 20th October 1984 on 1521 kHz. BBC Radio Sussex was also added at about the same time on 1368 kHz. INR3 (Talk Radio) was added in 1999. 1521 kHz closed 1st Febuary 2011 as the service being broadcast at the time, Gold, could already be widely heard across the area on 1548 kHz from Saffron Green in north London.
