Angel Radio transmits from Garrett's Farm near Newport. They had a problem with water ingress last year so this is a new mast only a year old. The station had to go off air for 2 months whilst it was delivered (the first aerial that arrived was bent)! The 25 watt transmitter covers most of the more populated central part of the island but not the biggest town , Ryde, as it is screened by hills.

The transmit antenna appears to be a simple end-fed vertical.

The horizontal cylinder is most likely a shrouded yagi for an SHF link - but it seems to be only just clear of its immediate surroundings...
