Show historic services

July 2011

This photo, taken on the approach to the summit of Telegraph, shows the three structures here. From left to right: the main Isles of Scilly broadcast tower, the Maritime and Coastguard Agency tower adjacent to the Coastguard building and the BT tower. The main IOS tower and IOS (MCA) are probably around 800m or so apart.

Going by the OFCOM data, and its apparent age, we believe the folded dipole behind the whip aerial, in the photo above, is the one used for the Radio Scilly transmissions.
