Paul comments: "Whilst on a trip to Newcastle City Centre I decided to take a trip up to Fenham to photograph the two West Road transmitters on the mb21 Hit List. Weather conditions were mixed..."


The front of the Beacon Centre on Newcastle's West Road. Community Radio station Spice FM has offices in unit 1 with the studio in unit 2.

The transmit antenna is on the roof...


...a side-mounted dipole. Ofcom data shows maximum ERP to the east - bearing 080 - with about 4 dB reduction towards the west
