Show historic services

December 2011

This relay seems to have been installed to counter the shadow effects of several multi-storey buildings, including the one on which it is located.

This relay is located on a building at the edge of the former RAF Hendon airfield which is now home to the RAF Museum.

These buildings look to be the cause of the local reception problems. The relay tx aerial can just be seen top left.

General view of the installation with the rx aerial on the left and the pair of stacked tx yagis just to the left of the tower with the lower one partly obscured by the parapet.

The pair of transmit aerials at the front of the building.

The receive aerial at the rear of the building.

Two classic fighter aircraft on display outside the RAF Museum.
