BBC DAB installation - August 2013

Managed to grab some pictures of the BBC DAB installation at Crumhaugh Hill, Hawick, in the Scottish Borders.

The aerials can be seen as two dipoles at the top of the mast.

Not a lot else on the mast; I don't think any of the other stuff is broadcast related.

Note the large satellite dish for the DAB feed.

BBC National DAB entered service on 4-Nov-2011 at Crumhaugh Hill.

General view of the mast on the narrow road up from Hawick.

A close up of the aerials.

The image here isn't the best but there is a house right next to the site and a farm opposite and there were some folk going about so didn't want to wander about the field....

There are just two buildings on the site.

The view to the west from the site.
