October 2012

This new relay of Heathfield was introduced for DSO

The planning application (Rother District Council RR/2010/1955/P) is for "One omni-directional transmission antenna and one wide band receive antenna..." on the roof of Conquest House - an office building close to the centre of Bexhill

It was getting dark by the time I arrived, so the quality is not what it should be. Hopefully someone will be able to improve on these now the location has been confirmed

According to the planning application:

1. "The building itself is of no architectural importance..."

2. The relay equipment is in the green cabinet on the roof, above the main entrance

The antennas are at the rear of the building...

...in the failing light we can see not one but two logs, together with a transmit antenna of a variety not previously seen. [Ed] Looks like an RFS LPR4A slot antenna which is horizontally polarised, about 9dB's gain with a cardioid HRP.
