The Skipton Town FM site is in a low, built-up area, to the North East edge of the town centre. Seemingly lower in height than all of the surrounding buildings, and outputting a mere 15 watts ERP, this hardly seemed to be worthwhile but the coverage, where it's needed, seems to be surprisingly good. The parent station is thought to be Proctor Heights at 500W and only a mere 5 miles away, however, due to the geography, and the directional antennas used at the latter, coverage is virtually non-existent. That said, if this site is rebroadcasting Proctor Heights, there must be an adequate signal at this particular location. One assumes that this also makes this site third in a re-broadcast chain?
