Went in search of this community radio station aerial. (Susy Radio). The OFCOM Tx parameters quoted south facing, mixed polarisation at 15m agl. I spent some time looking at about 1/4 the way up the two Reigate towers, without finding anything. Then on the way back to the car park I spotted this aerial on the side of a house. A closer study of the OFCOM data revealed a grid reference 200m east of the Arqiva site.

Are the bird spikes fundamental to the RF design?

The aerial is tilted to point down the hill towards the town of Reigate.
