Chris: "St Erth Canons Town was brought into service on 4th December 2015, and despite driving past it for almost 12 months, no-one else had made a visit to the site in that time.

This site has been literally shoe-horned onto this industrial estate site, sandwiched between the A30 and St Erth station in the village of Rose-an-Grouse. It must have one of the smallest footprints, and is similar in design to Torpoint Withnoe Lane, installed at a similar time in SE Cornwall.

Primarily it serves the village of St Erth about 1 mile to the east, but also improves indoor coverage to Hayle and Lelant to the north."

As seen (just) from the A30...

...one of the less attractive sites to visit, involving an assault course dodging the bins, and ducking under scaffolding

Two dipoles - maximum ERP on bearing 070 and just 12 m above ground. Squeezed into the compound are the cabin, with GPS antennas and the dish for the feed via satellite. The high-level dish is likely to be for telemetry
