The original structure at Perranporth was a 17m lattice pole. This has clearly been replaced with a taller tower for site sharers.

The Perranporth site on Liskey Hill, as it was when James Martin saw it in 2004...

Since then, the ubiquitous O2 Airwave aerials have been added:

I would have been able to obtain better shots had I been able to enter the adjacent field, but sadly the gate had barbed wire on top making access impossible, so I had to shoot into the sun.

The year was 1991.
