Transmit aerial replacement - August 2017

The 8 UHF log periodics forming the transmit aerial system at Marlow Bottom were all replaced on 31st August 2017 in preparation for 700 MHz band clearance. The TV transmissions at Marlow Bottom are expected to change from upper band V to upper band IV, during 2018.

By the time I arrived the old aerials had been removed and the last of the new aerials was being bolted into position.

The old aerials presumably destined for the log periodic recycling centre.

The feeder cables being connected up.

I think that the handwritten numbers on the aerials indicate the relative phases required to provide beam tilt and null filling.
