Gravity FM is one of the more successful Community Radio stations - operational since late 2008 and receiving a five-year extension to its licence.

Ofcom data shows the Springfield Road site in use from 27 November 2008 however the launch date is given as 1 December in other sources.


This prominent building is Bairds Maltings. Ofcom data shows the antenna as 52 m above ground and the site 63 m above sea level.


Transmission is vertically polarised and omnidirectional, from the "white stick" end-fed antenna. Nice and simple.




From the opposite side it seems there may be an SHF link from the studio - the small square panel attached to the guard rail
