Voice FM launched in July 2011 from this site at Southampton Solent University however it appears the station is not directly connected with the University and has its main offices in St Mary Street nearby. This is the third Community Radio station in the Southampton area (licence number CR213) many years after Unity 101 (Midanbury CR008) and Skyline Radio (Hedge End CR009) which have operated since late 2005.

Antennas of many types on the roof...

...from HF wires to radar. The most likely antenna for Band II is at the right hand end...

The middle pole is topped with a JayBeam end-fed antenna - this has been mounted with the base section inside the pole, the feeder emerges lower down.

The brown section is an insulator and the lower black ring marks the transition from antenna to support pole. Ofcom data shows vertical polarisation only with maximum ERP due north (bearing 000) and 4 dB reduction towards the south, a pattern more likely to be achieved from a side-mounted dipole. Perhaps this is not the original antenna? The final photo is from August 2016, taken from the other side of the building. No trace of any Band II diople.

In this view the Band II end-fed antenna is on the second pole from left There is clearly something about this area which leads to antennas being installed not-quite vertically!
