New tx installation

This is a new site, for the MF transmitter of Radio Panj, an Asian community-of-interest station for Coventry.
EMRP is 40W, transmitter is a Broadcast Electronics unit. Antenna is a 30m grounded tower, shunt-fed, with the shunt extended away from the side of the tower to increase bandwidth.

Update - in early 2022 the power was increased to give an EMRP of 120 W.

We understand when the station came on air it did so in AM Stereo, which was not officially sanctioned. We believe this makes it the first and only station in the UK to do so. However after a few months some observant DXers noticed the pilot tone, and after some mentions online it was quietly switched back to mono.
