Show historic services

January 2019

Located in the Intake area, north east of central Doncaster, Shaftesbury House entered service on 7 November 2017. Ofcom data suggests the site acts as a local filler for the three national networks, at just 22 W ERP, but the Sheffield multiplex is carried at 600 W ERP. All services share a pair of dipoles which produce a reduction of around 7 dB centred on bearing 120.

We believe all services are fed via SHF link from Clifton (which itself does not carry D1 and SDL, but serves as a distribution point).

As is often the case with rooftop installations, the antennas are not visible from ground level...

...unless viewed from the correct side.

The complete DAB installation: two dipoles, two GPS antennas and an SHF link. The UHF yagi is assumed to face Emley Moor.
